Hello Everyone,
I have an opportunity to become an LO. I just wanted to know, because of the slowing housing market, and of course the holiday season, is this a good time to become a LO. Thanks to all who respond. |

Actually, I think it's a pretty good time. There's a certain amount of learning that you have to do and people will typically have time to train you now because it's a bit slower.
Also, the slowing housing market is just beginning to weed out those who weren't good LOs. There isn't free money everywhere, so only the serious LOs are sticking with it. People will always buy and sell houses. In addition, joe american will always need us to bail him out of credit card debt. There's plenty of business out there....if you're willing to go out and get it! Just understand that you're likely not to see a paycheck until the middle of January or early February. Hope that helps. Troy

Thanks for responding Troy. I have been researching the industry for about 6 months now. My background is in computers although I am looking for a serious change. I had an interview yesterday and was told I would hear something in two days. It sounds promising that I have the position. Thanks again for responding and I will let you know if I get the position.
